Matt n Ace visit the Crazy Pig

Hey Everybody,
Been in London for a few days. Played Brixton Academy two nights and play down in Brighton today. It has been fun, really love London. We love going shopping here. Ace loves all the designers, Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen. We cruised down to a place called the Crazy Pig yesterday. It is an amazing jewelry shop that has been around forever. The guy that runs it was the original guy at a place called Great frog where I met him in the late eighties. I went to the shop with the late great Randy Castillo and Zakk Wilde who were in Ozzy's band at the time. I was playing in The Cult and living in London in an area called Swiss Cottage and Ozzy was at my hotel. We got into all shorts of trouble together mainly alot of drinking and rock n roll craziness. Anyway Randy always had the coolest jewelry , Skull rings and awesome wallet chains etc. Crazy pig did the original Keith Richards skull and his bracelet as well. also Ozzy, Ian Astbury, James Hettfeld etc. So in picked up a skull ring for myself and a smaller matching one for Ace. I have had a couple in my lifetime and lost them. This one is marked lucky number 7 inside. A limited edition yearly. So if you skull fans,Keith fans this is the original If you're in London stop by. Its at 38 Short's Garden, Covent Garden area. Also dont forget when you're in LA come by SorumNoce 85681/4 Melrose We have my line of cloths as well as jewelry and photography.
have Fun, Matt

Hangin backstage with Mr. Robert Plant

Hey friends,
After the last couple of days, and all the craziness Had a really cool surprise, Robert Plant came into our dressing room and we had a nice sit down with him for a least an hour. Its so weird, even though here I am playing in bands for all these years and meeting so many famous musicians and people. This was really a highlight. What a great guy. Have met him before when I was with the Cult. He came to a show at Manchester Apollo. As well as last time with VR there. Tonight was just cool and more intimate I guess We just shot the shit. A few road stories and he told me he wrote Black Country Woman about a girl that was from the area we were playing in called Wolverhampton. Wow, trivia from the man himself. His son was in the opening band and Dad was playing roadie for the night. The band is called Aura and they were young and rockin. Very blues based alot like Zep. Also on the bill is Scott Ians band with his girl Pearl, another kid of rockstar Meatloaf. Awesome singer and great performer. Cool to hang with Scott , good friend and cool dude. So pretty cool night all in all. Got more good news from LA after getting on the bus on the way back to Birmingham. Mike Inez from Alice in Chains went in my new clothing store and bought one of my leather jackets. Like I said Keepin the Rock alive and very well.
I'll keep u posted my friends, Matt

Glasgow gig

Hey all you great Fans,

So last night was interesting. Had a little band turmoil on stage as you probably all could tell. Being in a band is a lot like being in a relationship. Sometimes you just don't get along. I guess there has been more turmoil lately I guess with the cancellations and all.

It has been frustrating I am not going to lie. My career and life in Rock n Roll has come with its ups and downs. Unfortunatly some people in this business don't realize how great of a life they have. Touring the world, meeting great people and fans all over the world. And just playing music for a living. I feel truly blessed. But sometimes the road can be draining for some, being away from home and family does grind on you sometimes. With all the traveling and different beds. Personally I Love this Shit and sometimes can't believe I am so lucky to still be doing what I do for a living.

Everybody could see who was unhappy lastnight but all I can say is Let's keep the Rock alive people!!!! In this life u just pick up and keep moving. And don't ever let anybody stand in your way. The TRUTH Rock On!!!!!!

Matt
